How do I apply?

If you are applying as a first-year student, please submit the following items:

  1. Completed application—Sweet Briar will accept our online application.

  2. Unofficial transcripts of all academic work completed to date. Sweet Briar accepts the General Education Diploma (GED) instead of a high school diploma. Depending on your circumstances, you will need to provide a final transcript with proof of high school graduation before the start of your first academic year at Sweet Briar. We will accept electronic copies directly from your school or via the National Student Clearinghouse or Parchment.

  3. If applicable, a list of current (senior year) grades.

  4. We value your college credits! If you have taken college courses while in high school, submit this form to request a transfer credit evaluation for dual enrollment (or AP credit). High school students who complete an associate’s degree at the same time as their high school diploma will satisfy the Sweet Briar College leadership core requirements.

Optional

1. Test optional with a GPA of 3.0 or higher—Sweet Briar accepts either the SAT or ACT. Official scores must be submitted directly to the College.
